McMobility is a custom mobile app for warehouse management, built specifically for the Datalogic Skorpio X5 scanner running on Android.
Our challenge was to change old app with new that is fast, reliable, and secure.
The result? An app that processes requests in under 100 ms, runs smoothly and uses the latest security protocols.
Project scope and challenges
The old app faced communication issues at the database-interface level, leading to slow app performance. Hardware support for devices that were used was stopped and the client's business was exposed to risk.
To address this, we upgraded security to industry standards and improved the user interface for simplicity and speed, while the client upgraded hardware with new devices.

Discovery phase
During the discovery phase, prior to commencing development, we presented our proposed solutions and prototypes. To maintain organizational transparency and efficiency, all tasks and deadlines were accurately organized and tracked on a Kanban board.
By embracing a structured approach, we fostered a progressive partnership with our client, resulting in the successful development and implementation of their envisioned solutions.

Making effective cooperation strategies
Collaboration and validation were integrated into our daily operations. Each functionality was meticulously developed and tested utilizing an agile approach.
Our collaboration extended across all sectors of the client's organization, ensuring comprehensive cooperation and thorough testing. In our commitment to understanding the client's production process, our team conducted site visits to their facilities, gaining invaluable insights.

Peak efficiency in workers hand
The project required 9 custom processes to be integrated or updated.
Our UI/UX upgrade consolidates information into a single screen in most cases, improving employee experience and efficiency.
Our upgrades include strengthened login and sign-in security and the introduction of new roles, permissions, and encryption for enhanced data protection. Upgraded communication to HTTPS which meant greater speed and data processing, as well as security.
